Every piece of wood has a story. Together, they create something extraordinary.
Layers of Time is a one-of-a-kind sculptural wood artwork that celebrates the natural beauty, texture, and character of wood.
Created from a collection of hardwood and softwood pieces, this original design transforms individual blocks of varying shapes, sizes, and grain patterns into a richly textured composition. Each piece is thoughtfully arranged at different depths, creating a striking three-dimensional effect that changes with the light and viewing angle.
The Shou Sugi Ban-inspired burned wood finish enhances the natural grain, revealing beautiful contrasts of warm browns, deep charcoal tones, and rich wood textures. The combination of raised blocks, natural imperfections, and darkened surfaces gives this artwork a distinctive rustic yet contemporary character.
Framed in wood, Layers of Time extends up to five inches from the wall, creating a sculptural statement that adds warmth and dimension to a living room, office, entryway, or gallery wall.
Designed to hang in either direction, the artwork offers two distinct looks, allowing you to choose the orientation that best complements your space.
Each piece of wood is individually selected, arranged, and finished by hand, transforming workshop remnants into an original work of art.
